Interceding for Dignity

1 Timothy 2:1,2

First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men,
for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.

*
It seems that interceding for one another is an essential part of a healthy
community to achieve the highest dignity God had intended for us. However,
today, I feel that the level intersession is limited to uplifting some of
our immediate needs (health, financial, etc.) instead of going forward
with extra efforts to gain the tranquil and quiet life Paul is writing
about here, which in the end bring out all godliness and dignity.

The word dignity
jumps out at me here because that concept seemed to have been lost within
the local churches lately. We need to recover this and one of the ways to
do this is by interceding amongst one another and for our leaders.
