How To Bring Out Man's Glory

Proverbs 19:11

A man's discretion makes him slow to anger,

And it is his glory to overlook a transgression.

*
God does not want anger take place in my life by exercising my discretion
at all time, especially when I have an opportunity to overlook any
transgression towards me or my family. Is overlooking here same as being
gracious? I think so, because how can I be overlooking without the
presence of God's grace and if His grace were not flowing out my life like
a river overflowing?

I have read and thought a lot about bringing out God's glory but this verse
actually talks about how to bring out a man's glory. Such a concept of
bringing out my own glory immediately brings up my guard against self
boasting, but God is saying to me through this verse that my glory as a man
can be established only when I display His grace against all odds.

Overlooking a transgression requires a lot of discipline and preparation of
my mind by filling it with God's principles. Even then, I must apply my
discretion at all times.
