Colossians 4:6
Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.
(NLT: Let your conversation be gracious and effective so that you will have the right answer for everyone.)

As I am working on how to pass on the warmth of Jesus Christ to others
as I greet them in various situations (first timers, or old timers), this
passage speaks to my heart about how I need to let God's grace penetrate into
my heart first; and then have it overflow into others. At I search my heart
my stiff-necked attitude is what hinders me from doing this now. God is
coaching and training me to soften my neck and humble myself through the
saturation of His grace in my heart.
It is true that I will have to remind myself to season my speech with others
as I greet them and work on that, but I foremost have to soak my heart into
His grace through the meditation of His words every morning before I step
out of my house.
