1 Timothy 4:15,16
Take pains with these things; be absorbed in them, so that your progress will be evident to all.
Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in these things, for as you do this you will ensure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you.

Paul follows his reminder of disciplined life of a good minister with this
message. As we cannot avoid the pains in life, we must take them while
we are submerged in godliness so that God's power will be revealed to others.
Perseverance is also a key part of this process because it will only
pass in God's timing and that means I must persevere until His time is
reached.
Having said this, though, there is something to look forward to in this
process which is ensuring the salvation for me and others I spread
the goodnews to. That is, I will be a more effective minister of
God's love and be able to invite more people into His Kingdom.
