Because He Delighted in Me

2 Samuel 22:20


"He also brought me forth into a broad place;


  He rescued me, because He delighted in me.

This song of David is to thank God for delivering him from all of his enemies.
He is so grateful for being on God's side because short of that he would
not have been "rescued" from the deadly situations.

For me, David's proclamation of all this happening due to God's delight
in his own life touches me deeply because it goes against my approach of
achievement/results-driven faith many not caring about how God see my heart.

Am I living a life that God is delighted with? If not: (1)
I should stop dreaming of living a victorious or a blessed life;
(2) become someone God delights in.
