No-nonsense Dreams

[S] Luke 24:10-11 --
10 Now they were Mary Magdalene and Joanna and Mary the mother of James; also the other women with them were telling these things to the apostles. 11 But these words appeared to them as nonsense, and they would not believe them.

[O] The point of nonsense originates from their own inability to think beyond physical death of Jesus Christ whom they witnessed to be crucified. This brought them to the end of their dreams and no nonsense reports from these women were going to change that.

This displays the danger of losing dreams in our lives because we severely limit the potential God has for my life.  Dream, by definition, expands beyond my own limitations and when God-factor is mixed into it, then my life is bound to break the barriers of this world.

[A] When I focus too much on the practical aspects of my life and ministry, I find reasoning myself out of God's amazing plans for me and discounting what I hear about what God is doing around me.  I should never cease to dream big for God.

[P] Dear Jesus, just like the two disciples on the way to Emmaus please walk along side of me whenever I wonder off being discouraged so that I may feel the warmth of Your love and care for me to return to Your big dream for my life until You return.  In Your name.  Amen.
