[S] Psalm 73:25-26 --
25Whom have I in heaven but You?
And besides You, I desire nothing on earth.
26My flesh and my heart may fail,
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
[O] These words/phrases caught my attention reading these familiar verses: but You; besides You; desire nothing; forever. They painted the picture in my mind about how I need to totally rely on God because there is nothing that is worthy in my own flesh and heart. Can I really testify "But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever" from the bottom of my heart?
[A] I should be at a point where I can naturally say that God is my only strength and I desire nothing on earth besides Him.
[P] Dear God, this concept may be a fundamental one but as I was reading this passage I concluded that my every day life need to have this foundational attitude at the core. I shouldn't be trying to be this way only on certain times or settings but 24x7. Please take my heart and form it so I may please You every day. In Jesus' name. Amen.
